Here are some terms used to describe flat irons and what you should know about them, taken from Flat Iron

Experts:
Tourmaline / Ceramic Technology: KQC X-Heat Tourmaline Ceramic Hair Straightener’s distributes heat across the entire surface evenly, retains heat more efficiently, and eliminates damaging hot spots. Ceramic emits a natural source of negative ions and far infrared heat that helps your hair:
1. Preserve more moisture within the hair shaft
2. Eliminates frizz and close the cuticle to create smooth and shiny hair
3. Causes less damage to the hair cuticle during styling

Negative Ion Technology: Negative ions are atoms that can stop the growth of bacteria, fungi, etc., resulting in healthier hair and scalp. Negative ion energy is powerful enough to break apart clusters of water molecules. The smaller water molecules penetrate into the hair shaft by slipping between the cuticles, adding plumpness/volume to hair. The bombardment of negative ions also closes the hair cuticle, which is very good for the health and appearance of the hair.

Far Infrared Heat : Far Infrared (FIR) rays are electro-magnetic waves of energy, totally invisible to the naked eye, capable of penetrating deep into the human body, including the hair shaft. It therefore dries the hair from the inside out. The result is that more moisture remains in the hair shaft and there is less damage to the hair.
My Product Review

Overall, I love the product!
I received the KQC X-Heat Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron on May 27th and from that day onwards I have officially fallen in love... yes in love with the flat iron. To be frank, I rarely use to flat iron – since my hair is natural waves and I love the natural hair look. However some I do love to look dressed up with some volume/straight hair. And this flat gave me all the results I wanted and also, I actually asked my mom and also my sister to try it out. They also ended up giving me the same answer and also wanted to use the flat iron more often. This flat iron makes my hair looks moister and more shinny – and not dead. Overall, love the KQC X-Heat Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron.

  8. such a great review, and i am in love with my flat iron too, its the T3 singlepass tourmaline flat iron that uses the same tourmaline technology u wrote about, although many people say that flat ironing your hair damages it, i make sure i use a heat protectant spray, the result is that once i wash my hair, i see no signs of damages nor any frizziness.. this has never happened with any other iron before :)
thanks for visiting my blog and of course, i would love for us to follow each other, so i am following ur blog now :)
