I'm back for my one week vacation to Cozumel, Mexico!!

One of my 2016 resolutions was to travel more as well as to have some "me" time. The whole idea of going to Mexico was my sister's idea, however it was a last minute decision over dinner. This trip was a "sistercation", spent time with my sister and cousin. Growing up we used to talk about traveling together but as year passed by our childhood conversation turned into a tale, however with my sister persistence we were able to make it come true.

The name Cozumel was derived from the Mayan "Cuzamil" or "Ah Cuzamil Peten" in full, which means the island of swallows. The island is located in the Caribbean Sea along the eastern side of the Yucatan Peninsula about 82 km (51 mi) south of Cancún and 19 km (12 mi) from the mainland. The island is about 48 km (30 mi) long and 16 km (9.9 mi) wide. With a total area of 477.961 km2 (184.542 sq mi), it is Mexico's largest Caribbean island, and Mexico's third-largest island, following Tiburón Island and Isla Ángel de la Guarda.

During this one week getaway, I literally did nothing but enjoy my time under the sun as well as in the water (pool and beach). So, ended up staying in the resort during the whole week!! It was nice to actually do nothing!!

    wow looks like an amazing trip. I love cruises, it's the ultimate in relaxation. There's unlimited food, you hit many different locations, and there's lots of entertainment. Can't wait to go on a cruise again.
