On Sunday February 21, 2016 I attended 11th annual Icefest located in Bloor-Yorkville!!
Toronto’s premier cultural district will celebrate this landmark year, by transforming into a showcase of incredible ice sculptures and live ice carving demonstrations, for the entire family to enjoy. Inspired by Heart Month and the Valentine’s Day season, this year’s Expressions of Love theme will transform the neighbourhood into a magical showcase of 20,000 lbs. of crystal clear ice, sculpted into iconic expressions of amour. Patrons can expect to be dazzled by these ice creations, which will include an iconic LOVE sculpture, a giant tribute to world peace, an abstract couple embracing, a winter-themed heart, and a depiction of the ultimate love story – Romeo & Juliet!

    Ice Ice Baby, too cold, too cold. Oh I am singing an old song, sorry :) These sculptures are amazing. The van is my favorite, reminds me of Scooby Doo, and that LOVE one is here in my city, the real non-melty one :) Great stuff! xoxo
