Algonquin Provincial Park, distance of 2,896 square miles of protected wilderness, 2,000 lakes, and 621 miles of river to explore. After this quarantine is done, I would like to drive up to Algonquin to get some fresh air and to enjoy the beauty of mother nature. There are many hiking spots in Algonquin, here are five places that I personally enjoy!!
Had to combine Quarantine Week 5 to 7... sorry these past few weeks I have been a bit occupied with some new upcoming projects. More details will be provided in the upcoming weeks!!
Bonnechere Caves - Eganville, Ontario
The Bonnechere Caves in Eganville have been welcoming people from all over the world for over 55 years. The Bonnechere Caves were a fun experience. The cave tour was included with the admission fee and was education with information about the area, the different fossils found here, story of the caves discovery. The tour included spelunking in the caves (walking within the very narrow cave confines) and we also got to see bats in the cave and walk in total darkness.
Lion's Lookout - Huntsville, Ontario
Jasper National Park, Alberta
Jasper is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. Known for its vast wilderness, majestic peaks, abundant wildlife and outstanding natural beauty, visitors from all over Canada and round the world travel here to experience this very special place. And yes, it much better than Banff.
Banff, Alberta
Banff is a resort town and one of Canada's most popular tourist destinations. Known for its mountainous surroundings and hot springs, it is a destination for outdoor sports and features extensive hiking, biking, scrambling and skiing destinations within the area.
Woke up at 5AM and start driving to Canmore from Calgary and one of the best drive with the most beautiful sunrise.
Canmore, Alberta - Located one-hour West of Calgary and only 5 minutes from the Banff National Park, Canmore lies nestled along the banks of the Bow River in the heart of the Rocky Mountain
At Canmore, Alberta we did a pit stop at Grassi Lakes and the Three Sisters.
The Upper and Lower Grassi Lakes lie at an elevation about 1,525 m in the southern Canadian Rockies overlooking the town of Canmore, Alberta. They receive their water from the Spray Lakes Reservoir on the Spray River. It was the one of most interesting hikes I did.
